Be a guest · Season 2 · It takes a village

What do you know too much about?

Season 2 of You Know Too Much is built on a hunch: the weird little thing you can’t stop talking about is exactly what the rest of us need right now. The quirks, the rabbit holes, the oddly specific obsessions. Pool enough of that joy and we can grow, build and dream together.

This season will sort our 24 guests into three themes, three ways their joy spills over onto the rest of us: helping us get by, get away or pay it forward.

Three ways your obsession helps the rest of us

Obsession comes first, theme second. Here’s where season 2 guests land.

Theme 1

Utility

How we get by

Hacks for hard times. Loopholes, lovingly exploited. Utility guests get a real thrill out of the systems that run our lives, from airline miles to power bills, and they light up the second they find where the system gives. Lucky for us, they can’t keep it to themselves.

Think
  • The woman who knows which grocery store marks down meat on Tuesdays, and why
  • A points obsessive who flew to Tokyo for $11
  • The neighbor who reads lease agreements for fun
Theme 2

Escape

How we get away

Dragons, deep sea, distant planets. A vacation for your brain, no passport required. Escape guests know so much about something so far from the headlines that twenty minutes with them is a full reset.

Think
  • Someone who has ranked every fictional dragon by threat level
  • A guy who knows the forecast on a planet 40 light years away
  • A person who’s never seen a giant squid but would die for one
Theme 3

Pay it forward

How we show up for what’s next

Obsessions with side effects. The good kind. Pay-it-forward guests love something so much it spills over onto the planet, kids, elders, animals, or the neighbor down the block. Their joy is contagious, and catching it means doing a little good today.

Think
  • The neighbor who knows every stray cat on the block by name
  • A balcony gardener running a bee bed & breakfast
  • A grandkid recording grandma’s stories before the memories fade

Not sure where you fit? Plenty of obsessions sit on a line, and that’s fine. Tell us what you know too much about and we’ll find the angle together.

Being a guest

You don’t need credentials, a following, or a book deal. You need one thing you can’t stop learning about.

One hour on the calendarThe extra time is a buffer in case tech acts up.
12 to 25 minutesof conversation. Finished episodes run 15 to 20 minutes.
RemoteWe record online, wherever you are.
Headphones and a quiet roomThat’s the whole setup.

Pitch your rabbit hole

Share your topic in one sentence, then tell us how you fell into it.

Our best guests don’t pick a general hot topic like AI, success, sales, or public speaking. We’re looking for your deepest, weirdest knowledge. Like 1911 barnstorming baseball teams. Or the secret genetic history of beets. Or how to survive a sinking ship. It might have nothing to do with your profession. In fact, it shouldn’t.
